'A Rose for Sharon'

I wish my story had a happy ending. Maybe someday it will. Maybe someday, it will all stand for something. Maybe the story of my life will change, maybe even save someone else’s life. One can only have hope.
The truth is... the reality is... Though it all makes perfect sense to me now... I never saw it coming. It seems surreal and yet, all too real all at the same time, and yet... here I am.
It all started when I met the most perfect guy... He was beautiful - full of charm and wealthy! Wooh! He was so rich, he smelled like money.
This is the beginning of the play written in memory of Sharon Fisher Basset. How many of us have had these feelings? In A Rose for Sharon we will see how this fairytale tumbled into domestic violence and eventually into the life threatening disease of anexoria from which Sharon eventually lost her life. Compelling us to reach out and do something to both domestic violence and eating disorders.
